GSC auctions constantly bring more than market trends

I know there has been much talk throughout coin communities about Great Southern Coins. Some criticized the pictures, grading… even shill bidding and so on. What I can’t believe is how the coins they sell bring well over comparable coins. Here is a Buffalo Nickel they are selling for $440. The next link is a coin that sold on teletrade for $240. Same grade, same grading service, same date.

Another amazing marketing feat of GSC is that many raw coins command above coins graded higher than the raw. My only speculation is that they have a strong, reliable internet client base.

Last link is the heritage list of sales for 1913 Buffalo Nickels MS 66. And yes, I only looked at the Type One Buffs. I think if one company can make a business like this, there is a future for more to follow. Also, do they have a shop? I don’t understand how they have so much inventory. Your thoughts?
